A friend had recently upgraded their camera to a Fuji GFX; before that they were a Pentax shooter and still had their K-1 sitting around as a DSLR scanning setup. As they wanted to shoot more medium- and large format and I had the better macro lens for the k-1 anyways (the 50 is better than the 100 change my mind) they sold me the k-1 for a friend price primarely so i could upgrade my scanning setup as my flatbed scanner had stopped working.
After a bit of experimenting i found out mostly by accident that using the k-1 with the ridiculous 135mm f2.5 portrait lens wide-open is a killer setup for furcons, especially when switching said camera to square format. However a bit of a complaint creeped up in my mind, it was a bit *too* easy. I'm happy that the K-1 was not my first camera, cause you can underexpose it by 10 stops and it'll still come out fine.
So now the K-1 is mostly my scanning setup; I do take it out from time to time though.
